Hunterdon County commissioners honor Nancy Hanna upon retirement from planning department

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners recently recognized Nancy Hanna for her service to the county as she retires from the Department of Planning & Land Use after more than a decade of dedicated public service.

Hanna joined the department in 2014 and has since played a key role in supporting senior staff and assisting the public. Known for her professionalism, collaboration, and strong work ethic, she has earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout county government.

“On behalf of the Board of Commissioners, I want to thank Nancy Hanna for her commitment to public service,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “For more than a decade, her professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to both her colleagues and the community have left a meaningful and lasting impression on the Planning & Land Use Department. We wish her the best for a fulfilling and well-earned retirement.”

Hanna’s tenure was marked by her leadership and consistent dedication to the county’s planning efforts and the residents she served. The Board’s recognition underscores the value of her contributions and the positive impact of her work across the organization.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
