HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — The 200 Club of Hunterdon County held its annual Valor & Merit Awards Dinner on May 15, 2025, at Razberry’s Banquet Center, honoring the bravery and dedication of local police, fire, and rescue squad members.

The event recognized first responders for acts of courage and exceptional service to the community.

On behalf of the Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners, Van Doren presented official proclamations to the award recipients.

“Our first responders put their lives on the line every day, often without recognition. Tonight, we celebrate their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to keeping Hunterdon County safe. Their service is invaluable, and we are proud to stand behind them,” said Van Doren.

Founded in 1976, the 200 Club of Hunterdon County is a nonprofit organization that supports the families of fallen police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel. The Club is fully supported by public safety organizations across Hunterdon County and the state of New Jersey.

The evening served as both a celebration and a call to the community to support those who serve. Awards presented included the Unit Citation Award, Valor Award, Civilian Award, Meritorious Service Award, and Distinguished Service Award.

“We don’t just honor the service of the award recipients tonight, we celebrate the bravery, devotion, and heart that make our community stronger,” Van Doren said in closing. “Each of you has shown unwavering commitment, and it’s a privilege to recognize and thank you for all that you do.”
