Hunterdon County honors Polytech seniors during annual awards ceremony

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County officials joined students, families and educators this week to celebrate graduating seniors during the annual Hunterdon County Polytech Senior Awards Ceremony at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.

Commissioner Deputy Director Jeff Kuhl attended Wednesday evening’s event, recognizing students for academic achievement, technical skills, leadership and dedication across the county’s career and technical education programs.

“This evening, we celebrate much more than awards and accomplishments,” Kuhl said. “We celebrate hard work, determination, leadership, and the willingness to pursue excellence in both the classroom and the community.”

The ceremony honored students enrolled in Polytech programs focused on healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, technology and other career fields designed to prepare students for workforce and educational opportunities after graduation.

County officials said the programs provide hands-on learning experiences and workforce-ready training for students pursuing careers, apprenticeships, military service and higher education.

“Programs like Polytech give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, explore meaningful career paths, and build skills they can carry with them for the rest of their lives,” Kuhl said. “Whether students choose to enter the workforce, pursue higher education, or continue training in the trades, these programs help prepare them for success and strengthen the future workforce of Hunterdon County.”

Kuhl also recognized the role parents, teachers and mentors played in supporting students throughout their education.

“To the parents, teachers, administrators, and mentors — thank you for the guidance, encouragement, and support you have provided these students along the way,” Kuhl said. “Their success is also a reflection of your commitment.”

The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners congratulated the graduating seniors and award recipients, wishing them success in their future careers and educational pursuits.
