Hunterdon County Parks and Recreation launches ‘HOPE 2: Hunterdon Outdoor Park Exploration’ program

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation has announced the launch of HOPE 2: Hunterdon Outdoor Park Exploration, an interactive and educational scavenger hunt experience that invites participants to follow a guide booklet through fourteen parks in Hunterdon County.

Developed on the success of the first edition HOPE booklet, this second publication invites participants to engage in a self-guided, self-paced program full of fun and challenging activities.

“The HOPE 2 program is a wonderful way to encourage outdoor exploration and mindfulness while providing engaging activities for all age groups. Our Parks and Recreation Division does a great job of offering programs that inspire residents to appreciate the beautiful landscapes and recreational options available in our parks,” Deputy Director Susan Soloway said.

Each park visit in the HOPE 2 booklet includes challenges, meditation prompts, educational information about nature, and interesting park information. As participants complete the various park activities, they will document their experiences in the booklet. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a HOPE token as a symbol of their accomplishment and commitment to outdoor exploration.

HOPE 2 is perfect for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking to experience the best of Hunterdon County’s parks at their own pace. Whether a seasoned hiker or a casual park visitor, HOPE 2 offers something for everyone.
