Hunterdon County player, Jackpocket user each win $1M in Powerball as jackpot climbs

TRENTON, N.J. — Two New Jersey Lottery players each won $1 million in Monday night’s Powerball drawing, including one ticket sold in Hunterdon County.

One winning ticket was purchased at P&G Fuel, 1050 Milford Warren Glen Road, in Milford. The other was sold through the courier service Jackpocket.

The wins were among 10 tickets nationwide to match all five white balls, earning $1 million each. New Jersey was the only state with more than one $1 million winner in the drawing.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, which has now grown to an estimated $1.3 billion for Wednesday’s drawing, with a cash value of $589 million.

The winning numbers for Sept. 1 were 08, 23, 25, 40 and 53. The red Powerball was 05, and the Power Play multiplier was 03.

In addition, a $150,000 winning ticket was sold at Limonta Liquors, 293 Vernon Ave., Clifton, in Passaic County.

The Double Play drawing produced numbers 01, 15, 26, 48 and 67, with the Double Play ball 19. The top prize in Double Play is $10 million.
