Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office swears in new detective

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO) welcomes a new detective.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson announced that Det. Joseph Cecere was sworn in on April 29, 2024, before Chief of Detectives Timothy Drew and the staff of HCPO.

Before joining the HCPO, Detective Cecere was a Police Sergeant with the Hackettstown Police Department where he had served in the Patrol Division.

Prior to his employment with the Hackettstown Police Department, Det. Cecere was an officer with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Detective Cecere is a graduate of Warren County Community College and the Morris County Police Academy.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
