Hunterdon County Senior Center hosts summer celebration with live music, ice cream

HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — Hunterdon County Commissioner Jeff Kuhl joined senior residents Friday for the Hunterdon County Senior Center’s “Summer Party,” an afternoon of live entertainment, ice cream, and community connection.

“It was great to spend some time today visiting with our seniors,” Kuhl said. “Events like these remind us of how vital social connection and community enrichment are to enhancing the well-being of our older residents. I’m grateful to the Senior Center staff, volunteers, and supporters who make events like this possible.”

The party, held from 2 to 4 p.m., featured musical performances by the Positivity Duo, Pamm Wahlberg and Steve Lucas, followed by frozen treats from the Kona ice cream truck.

The event was free for enrolled Senior Center members ages 60 and older, with donations accepted to support future senior services. The ice cream was sponsored by Nancy Woodard-Bourke of A Place At Home, Donna Kiley of At Home Mobility, and Jenifer Santoro of Santoro Senior Strategies.

The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners said it remains committed to offering accessible and meaningful programming for the county’s older adults.
