Hunterdon County senior prom brings ‘Glitz and Glamour’ to community

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Director John E. Lanza and Commissioner Susan J. Soloway joined the Hunterdon County senior community Friday, June 13, for the annual Senior Prom at the Hunterdon County Senior Center. This year’s event, themed “Glitz and Glamour,” offered an afternoon of music, dancing and elegance.

“Events like these wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our Senior Center staff, local sponsors and the dedication of our community,” Lanza said. “Their generosity allows us to create meaningful experiences that bring joy to our seniors.”

The event featured a performance by Russ Martone, supported by Joni Lauyer of Hunterdon Care Center and Rolling Hills Care Center. Refreshments were donated by Sandi of Brookdale Senior Living.

“I look forward to the Senior Center Prom each year,” Soloway said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to come together, dress up and enjoy a truly magical experience. It’s about celebrating life, community and the joy of making new memories.”

The Hunterdon County Senior Center offers year-round programming, including wellness workshops, social gatherings, educational sessions and recreational activities designed to foster community and connection.
