Hunterdon County to celebrate 25th annual 4-H and Agricultural Fair Aug. 20–24

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners is inviting residents and visitors from across the region to join in celebrating the 25th Annual Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 through Sunday, August 24, 2025, at South County Park, located at 1207 Route 179 in Lambertville.

This year marks a special milestone—the 25th anniversary of the fair’s re-establishment following the closure of the historic Flemington Fair. Over the past quarter century, the 4-H & Agricultural Fair has grown into a beloved summer tradition for thousands of families throughout Hunterdon County.

“The Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of who we are as a community,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “For 25 years, this fair has brought together generations of residents, volunteers, and local businesses to honor our agricultural heritage and showcase the talents of our youth. I encourage everyone to come out and experience all the fair has to offer—it truly is one of the highlights of our summer.”

Fair hours are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 20: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 21: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 22: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 23: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 24: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The five-day fair will include 4-H animal shows, agricultural demonstrations, home arts competitions, amusement rides and games, craft and commercial vendors, live music, and a diverse selection of food options. Admission and on-site parking are free, making it a cost-friendly outing for families looking to enjoy one last summer celebration.
