I-80 westbound lane closures this weekend for drainage pipe repairs in Knowlton Township

At least one lane will be maintained during construction

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – I-80 westbound is scheduled to have two lanes closed this weekend at milepost 7.3 in Knowlton Township.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, until 5:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, two lanes on I-80 westbound are scheduled to be closed to repair a drainage pipe underneath the roadway.

Construction is expected to start in the left and center lanes and move to the right lane as work progresses. At least one lane will be maintained during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.

The work is part of a $15.8 million state-funded maintenance project to repair stormwater facilities at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for real-time travel information..
