
Long-time county employee George Price tapped to lead Hunterdon County Buildings and Maintenance Department
HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Board of Commissioners recently announced the promotion of George Price to Superintendent of Buildings and Maintenance (B&M).
George began his career with the county in 1992 and has been a dedicated and invaluable member of the team, earning multiple promotions over the years due to his exceptional work and commitment.
“Mr. Price’s extensive experience and proven leadership throughout his 32 years of service with the county, make him the ideal candidate for the role of Superintendent for Buildings and Maintenance. His contributions have been instrumental in assisting at various events, setting up workshops, and supporting numerous county ceremonies, ensuring their success. We are confident that he will continue to excel in his new position,” Commissioner Director Jeff Kuhl said.
George Price started his career with Hunterdon County as a temporary Building and Maintenance worker, and was promoted through the ranks to maintenance repairer, electrician helper, electrician, and eventually supervisor of B&M.
Throughout his tenure, George has received numerous accolades from the Commissioners and County officials, highlighting his outstanding contributions to maintaining and improving the county’s facilities. His dedication and hard work were recently recognized with the Employee Appreciation Award in 2024.
In his new role, George will oversee the maintenance and operations of all county buildings and grounds, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and functionality. He will also continue to work closely with county officials and staff to implement improvements and address any issues promptly.
