NJMVC facilities to close July 3-4 for Independence Day holiday

NEW JERSEY — All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission facilities will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

The closures include all MVC agencies, road test sites and vehicle inspection stations.

Although in-person services will be unavailable, the commission said customers can continue to conduct business online at NJMVC.gov, where more than 25 services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Online services include driver’s license renewals and replacements, vehicle registration renewals and replacements, address changes, driver record requests, personalized and specialty license plate requests, and other transactions.

The commission encourages customers to visit NJMVC.gov before visiting an agency to complete eligible transactions online, schedule required appointments for in-person services and driver testing, and find answers to common motor vehicle questions.
