Longtime WRNJ radio personality passes away
A man whose radio presence in Northwest New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania spans a career of over 50 years has passed away.
Chuck Reiger’s on-air personality shaped generations of listeners. From his early years at WCRV in Washington Borough, moving on to WFMV in Blairstown Township, he also worked at WEST and WLEV, before becoming part of WRNJ in its infancy.
At WRNJ, Chuck was instrumental in developing a radio station that not only fit the needs of the community it serves, but kept it current with its everchanging needs.
Chuck’s knowledge of musical history, complemented his razor-sharp humor, and made is radio ad writing unparalleled.
While battling a rare form of cancer, Chuck’s on-air presence never wavered. His accomplishments are far too long of a list to enumerate.
From the many lives his radio voice comforted, the colleagues he shared himself with, to his family and friends, Chuck Reiger will be missed.
