MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 29-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested on a criminal trespass charge after police said he was seen peering into the window of an occupied apartment in the Budd Lake section of Mount Olive Township.
At about 9:05 p.m. Sept. 8, a Mount Olive police detective on routine patrol at an apartment complex saw a man walking between apartment buildings before stopping and looking through the window of one of the apartments, police said.
Police identified the man as Dylan Martell, 29, of Budd Lake. Authorities said Martell then walked away and entered a different apartment building.
An investigation determined the apartment was occupied when Martell was allegedly looking through the window and that he had previously been trespassed from that area of the apartment complex, according to police.
Police contacted Martell at his residence Sept. 19 and arrested him. He was taken to police headquarters and charged with criminal trespass.
Martell was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.
