Man arrested for allegedly masturbating in front of customer in toy aisle at Somerset County Target store

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – An East Orange man has been arrested in relation to a lewdness incident that occurred earlier this month at a Target store in Bridgewater Township. according to Bridgewater Township Chief of Police John B. Mitzak.

Jason Banks, 21, was charged with fourth-degree lewdness.

On Aug. 1, at around 7:21 p.m., Banks was seen by the victim allegedly exposing his genital and gratifying himself in the toy isle of the Target store on Promenade Blvd, Mitzak said.

Officers were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspect and confirm the victim’s account of the event, Mitzak said.

On Aug. 8, detectives located Jason Banks, conducted an interview, and he was subsequently arrested, Mitzak said.

Banks was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing, Mitzak said.
