Man arrested on warrant, charged with contempt of court in Sussex County, police say

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, N.J. (Sussex County) — A Franklin Borough man was arrested Jan. 31 after police found him at a property he had been barred from entering under a court order in Franklin Borough. according to police.

Edward Zubl, 54, of Franklin Borough, was taken into custody by patrol officers during the morning hours while they were proactively patrolling the borough, police said.

Officers located Zubl outside a former residence on Main Street. During the execution of the Sussex County Superior Court warrant, officers determined that Zubl had previously been barred from the property under a separate court order.

In addition to the warrant, Zubl was charged with contempt of court, a disorderly persons offense.

Police said Zubl was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, where he was lodged pending an appearance in Sussex County Superior Court in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.
