Man charged in Hunterdon County business theft, police say

CALIFON BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A Lambertville man has been charged in connection with a theft at a business in Califon Borough, Washington Township police said.

Officers responded after receiving a report of theft and, following an investigation and interviews, arrested a 49-year-old man, authorities said. His name and details about the theft were not released.

The man was taken into custody without incident, processed at Washington Township Police Headquarters and charged with third-degree theft. He was released pending his first appearance in Hunterdon County Superior Court.
