Man charged in sexual assault of 14-year-old girl in Somerset County

BOUND BROOK BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A Somerset County man is behind bars for the alleged sexual assault of a teen girl, according to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

On March 17, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a 14-year-old girl was alleging that she was sexually assaulted in Bound Brook Borough, Taggart said.

The girl was interviewed by authorities and she stated that she was sexually assaulted by Carlos B. Deleon-Sis, 42, of Bound Brook numerous times between June 2021 and February 2022, Taggart said.

On April 6, as a result of this investigation, Deleon-Sis was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. He was then lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing, Taggart said.
