Man charged with DUI after crashing into curb in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Union County man is facing several charges, including driving under the influence, after crashing into a curb in Denville Township.

On October 21, police responded to 3056 Route 10 West following reports of a black Honda sedan that had struck a curb, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and approached the driver, identified as Brian Sharkey, 39, of Mountainside. An investigation revealed that Sharkey was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, police said.

Sharkey was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to chemical testing, careless driving, and reckless driving, police said.

He has been released pending a court appearance.
