Man charged with DWI after crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Parsippany-Troy Hills man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash Saturday night in Denville Township, police said.

Officers responded around 10:35 p.m. March 28 to a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Route 10 West and Franklin Road, according to police.

During the investigation, the driver involved, identified as Andres Ramirez Rodriguez, 46, of Parsippany, showed signs of intoxication, police said. Officers conducted further investigation and placed Rodriguez under arrest.

Rodriguez was transported to Denville Police Headquarters, where he was processed and issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and following too closely.

He was later released to a sober friend pending a required court appearance in Denville Municipal Court.
