Man charged with DWI following crash in Warren County

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) –A man is facing driving while intoxicated charges following a motor vehicle crash last month in Warren County.

The two-vehicle crash happened on July 30 on Route 517 in Independence Township, police said.

On location, officers met with both drivers and gathered information while evaluating the scene. Once information was gathered from Gregory Mcgee, 42, of Allamuchy Township, officers found that “something was off,” police said.

Officers then decided to administer a series of standardized field sobriety tests to help determine if Mcgee was intoxicated. The tests allegedly revealed he was intoxicated, and he was then arrested, police said.

Mcgee was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and DWI with a minor passenger in the vehicle. He was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
