Man charged with robbery in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man has been charged with robbery in Denville Township, according to police.

On January 25, at around 1:49 p.m., police received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting an active robbery possibly involving a weapon at the Union Hill Shopping Center.

Upon arrival, officers observed a suspect matching the description provided by several eyewitnesses. During the investigation, the suspect, later identified as Raul A. Green, 30, of Dover, was found with a large wad of cash in his pocket. The cash was determined to have been stolen from a retail store, police said.

No weapons were found on Green’s person, police added.

Green was arrested on charges of robbery and attempted robbery of additional stores. He faces two counts of robbery and is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
