Morris County At Home store among three N.J. locations slated to close as retailer restructures under Chapter 11

An At Home store in Morris County is among three New Jersey locations that will close as the home décor retailer restructures under Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to court filings.

The affected stores include 461 Route 10 East in Ledgewood, 301 Nassau Park Blvd. in Princeton, and 1361 Route 35 in Middletown Township.

At Home filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this month, citing about $2 billion in debt. The company plans to close underperforming locations while continuing operations at its remaining stores as it works to secure new financing.

Store closing sales at the impacted sites have already started or will begin shortly, with liquidation expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

In court documents, At Home pointed to inflation, changing consumer trends and other economic pressures as factors in its decision to seek bankruptcy protection.
