Morris County man killed in snowmobile crash in upstate New York

WEBB, NY (Herkimer County) – A Morris County man was killed in snowmobile crash in upstate New York Wednesday morning, according to Webb Police Chief Ronald Johnston.

The crash happened on Jan. 31, at 12:40 a.m., on Trail 5 between Rondaxe Road and State Route 28 in the Town of Webb, Johnston said.

The investigation revealed that a Kelly J. Rozansky, 56, of Kinnelon Borough was travelling west on Trail 5 when he lost control of his 2021 Ski-Doo snowmobile and went off the trail striking a tree, Johnston said.

Members of his riding party found Rozansky a short time later dead, Johnston said.

“Contributing factor in this accident is unsafe speed for conditions,” Johnston said.
