
Morris County man pleads guilty to drug charges
WARREN COUNTY, NJ – A Budd Lake man has pleaded guilty to drug charges in Warren County, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Sept. 27, George Fischer, 48, pled guilty to first-degree possession with intent to distribute possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The plea was accepted by the Honorable Jonathan W. Romankow, J.S.C., officials said.
As part of the plea agreement, on the first-degree drug charge, the state will recommend Fischer be sentenced in the second degree range to 5 years New Jersey State Prison. The state will recommend that he be sentenced to a concurrent 3 year New Jersey State Prison term on the third-degree drug charge, authorities said.
He is tentatively scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 8.
