Morris County prosecutor’s lieutenant receives NAACP President’s Award

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Lt. Spence Osaigbovo was honored with the President’s Award at the 94th Annual Freedom Fund Membership Gala hosted by the Morris County Chapter of the NAACP.

The event was held March 20 at the Morris Museum in Morristown.

Osaigbovo, who serves as second vice president of the Morris County NAACP chapter, received the award from chapter President Vanessa Brown, Rev. Herman Scott and Deborah Scott.

During the event, the Emeritus Award was also presented to Ottawanna Anderson, a vice president and gold subscribing member of the chapter.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll praised both honorees for their contributions to the community.

“Congratulations to Lt. Osaigbovo on this merited award. He is a responsive liaison between the Morris County Prosecutor’s. Lt. Osaigbovo strives to connect law enforcement with the people they serve and is a recognized leader in the community, especially to young people. The Prosecutor also congratulated Ms. Anderson for her contributions improving communication between the Prosecutor’s Office and the community and for her Emeritus award.”
