Morris County Prosecutor’s Office attends Bottle Hill Day 2024
MADISON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) attended Madison’s Bottle Hill Day, an annual fall street festival held in the heart of the borough on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024. This year marked the 49th anniversary of this signature event.
MCPO members set up two information tables to meet and greet community members and provide details about the ARRIVE Together – Morris program.
In partnership with the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris Counties, the ARRIVE Together program (Alternative Responses to Reduce Instances of Violence & Escalation) aims to help police de-escalate situations, provide immediate support to individuals in crisis, and ensure the safety of both the community and the responding officers. Clinicians from the Mental Health Association (MHA) have been collaborating with participating municipal police departments to assist adults and juveniles in crisis situations.
ARRIVE Together – Morris is currently active in Madison, Denville, Hanover, Montville, Morris Plains, Morris Township, Morristown, Parsippany, Randolph, and Roxbury. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is working to expand the program throughout the county to enhance law enforcement’s responses to those in need.
Funding for the program is provided through a statewide grant facilitated by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
