Morris County Prosecutor’s Office chief assistant prosecutor installed as president of the Morris County Bar Association

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Christopher F. Schellhorn, Chief Assistant Prosecutor of the Tactical Division, has been installed as President of the Morris County Bar Association. The installation was recognized at the 2025 Morris County Bar Association Installation & Awards Dinner on April 10 at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park Borough.

CAP Schellhorn has been an Officer of the Association since 2020, previously holding several other positions on the Board of Trustees, including as President of the Bar Foundation in 2023.

The Morris County Bar Association is a professional association of attorneys and members of the judiciary who live in and/or practice law in Morris County. The objectives of the Association are to maintain the honor and dignity of the profession of law; to promote an understanding of the law and its application in society; to foster the due administration of justice; and to promote the capacity of the Bar for public service, particularly the provision of pro bono and/or reduced fee legal services in appropriate cases.

The Association is governed by a Board of Trustees, elected by the membership. The Morris County Bar Foundation was established in 1990 to serve as the charitable affiliate of the Morris County Bar Association.

CAP Schellhorn was formally installed to the position of President in January 2025 at the Morris County Courthouse by Judge Stuart A. Minkowitz, A.J.S.C.

Two other Morris County Prosecutor’s Office employees were recognized at the Dinner: Assistant Prosecutor Bridget Carr was installed to her second year as a Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division and Assistant Prosecutor Justin Tellone was installed to his first term as a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation.
