Morris County Prosecutor’s Office hosts Criminal Justice Day for Leadership Morris

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Members of Leadership Morris, a community education program run by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, attended an educational retreat on Thursday focused on Criminal Justice. The event included presentations hosted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll opened the retreat with welcoming remarks and an explanation of the office’s structure and duties. Close to 50 local community leaders from the 2024 Leadership Morris program participated. Attendees represented various organizations, including the County College of Morris, Saint Clare’s Health, Morris County Vocational Technical School, Picatinny Arsenal, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, and other community groups.

Prosecutor Carroll also delivered an introductory presentation in the Commissioners Meeting Room, followed by Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury, who discussed the MCPO’s Special Operations Division. Seabury highlighted the impact of the opioid/fentanyl crisis and detailed the multi-faceted efforts the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is taking in response.

A question-and-answer session followed both presentations, and the day’s itinerary also included sessions and a tour of the Morris County Correctional Facility.
