Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joins Diversity Day celebration in Morristown
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined community organizations on Sunday, July 20, for the annual Diversity Day Celebration hosted by the Morris County Human Relations Commissioner, part of the Diversity Coalition of Morris County.
Held indoors at the Morristown United Methodist Church, the event brought together residents, cultural groups, and civic leaders for an afternoon of interfaith service, multicultural performances, live music, food, and community outreach. The goal of Diversity Day is to foster greater understanding of different cultures and celebrate the diversity of Morris County in a welcoming environment.
Prosecutor’s Office staff participated in the event with an informational table, offering brochures on identity theft and internet safety, along with souvenirs for children.
“I applaud the continued efforts of our Community Outreach team…for their ongoing efforts to engage the great Morris County community and to nurture partnerships with all our religious, cultural, and civic associates,” said Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll. “Together, we strive to make Morris County a safe and welcoming place to live and work.”
Among the Prosecutor’s Office personnel in attendance were Deputy Chief Jan-Michael Monrad, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Tia Manochio, Lt. Keisha Higgs, Sgt. Patrick LaGuerre, Sgt. Sasha Gould, and several detectives and supervisors from the outreach team.
The event was supported by a range of religious, cultural, and educational organizations, continuing its tradition of community collaboration and inclusive celebration.
