Morris County sheriff swears in new investigator

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Sheriff James M. Gannon on Monday swore in Sheriff’s Investigator Arman Peco, who came to the United States as a refugee from Bosnia and Herzegovina in September 2001 when he was 9 years old.

Peco and his family settled in Hackettstown, where he later attended Warren County Community College to study criminal justice. His law enforcement career began with the Warren County Corrections Department before he went on to serve with the Camden County Police Department and later the Washington Township Police Department in Warren County.

Throughout his career, Peco has received life-saving awards and unit citations, which officials said reflect his commitment to service and professionalism.

Investigator Peco is fluent in Bosnian, English, Serbian, and Croatian, and also understands Macedonian.

“Investigator Peco is a true asset to the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and we look forward to his future success,” Sheriff Gannon said.
