MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon this week swore in seven new Correctional Police Officers to serve at the Morris County Correctional Facility.
Sheriff Gannon was joined by facility administrators during the ceremony, which welcomed Jacob Hopping, Christopher Navarro, Rosalba Garcia, Aaron Myrick, Bart Yarosz, Alex Mercado and Kevin Bovier.
All but Garcia, who transferred from the New Jersey Department of Corrections, recently graduated from the Hudson County Police Academy on Aug. 12.
Yarosz earned special recognition at the academy, receiving both the Defensive Tactics Award and the Most Outstanding Award for overall achievement.
“These men and women represent the best of law enforcement, and we are proud to welcome them to our team at the correctional facility,” Gannon said in a statement.
