Police training exercise to take place Tuesday at Duke Island Park in Somerset County

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A police training exercise will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Duke Island Park, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr., Somerset County Sheriff Darrin Russo, and Bridgewater Township Police Chief John Mitzak.

Officials said the park, located at 191 Old York Road in Bridgewater, will be closed to the public beginning at 7:00 a.m. while the training is conducted. The park is expected to reopen around 3:00 p.m. once the exercise concludes.
