Morris County to conduct mosquito spraying in 2 Morris County towns on Monday

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Mosquito Commission will conduct mosquito control treatments in portions of East Hanover and Hanover on Monday morning following an increase in the adult mosquito population.

Weather permitting, crews will treat wooded areas using all-terrain vehicles between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 27.

The treatment is scheduled for the following locations:

  • Cedar Street (Camp Hope), East Hanover
  • Ridgedale Avenue (Lurker Park), East Hanover
  • Pond Road (Brickyard Field), Hanover

The commission said it will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox, depending on operational needs.
