Mosquito spraying planned in 3 Morris County towns on June 18

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Mosquito Commission has scheduled mosquito control treatments in Morris Plains, East Hanover and Hanover on Thursday morning due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, treatments will be conducted between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. June 18 using all-terrain vehicles in wooded areas at the following locations:

  • Jim Fear Drive in Morris Plains
  • Ridgedale Avenue near the athletic field in East Hanover
  • South Jefferson Road near the Central Park skate rink in Hanover

The commission said applicators may use Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
