Mosquito spraying scheduled Aug. 28 in two Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control crews will spray wooded areas and surrounding properties in Roxbury and Washington early Thursday in response to an increase in adult mosquito populations, officials announced.
The treatment is scheduled for Aug. 28, weather permitting, between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Crews will use all-terrain vehicles to apply either Anvil 2+2, with the active ingredient Sumithrin (EPA #1021-1687-8329), or Zenivex E4, with the active ingredient Etofenprox (EPA #2724-807).
In Roxbury, spraying will take place at Ajax Terrace near the sewer plant. In Washington, the treatment area will include Rock Road near the Washington Department of Public Works.
