Mosquito spraying scheduled Sunday morning in Rockaway
ROCKAWAY, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Division of Mosquito Control has scheduled mosquito control treatments in portions of Rockaway on Sunday, Aug. 9, weather permitting, due to an increase in the adult mosquito population.
Crews will treat wooded areas using an all-terrain vehicle between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Treatment areas include:
- White Meadow Road (White Meadow Lake Camp)
- West Lincoln Avenue (Lincoln Field)
The county said applicators will use either Anvil 2+2, containing the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, containing the active ingredient etofenprox, depending on operational needs.
Residents with questions about the mosquito control treatments may contact the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control at 973-285-6450. Additional information, including pesticide product labels, is available at morriscountynj.gov/Departments/Mosquito-Control.
