Route 94 northbound ramp to I-80 westbound traffic to be shifted Friday night in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The Route 94 northbound ramp to I-80 westbound is scheduled to have a traffic shift Friday night in Knowlton Township.

In addition, a temporary stop sign will be placed at the end of the ramp, where Route 94 northbound traffic merges with Route 46 westbound.

Beginning at 8:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, traffic on the Route 94 northbound ramp to I-80 westbound is scheduled to be shifted to the left, and the right lane will be closed for reconstruction. In addition, a temporary stop sign will be placed at the end of the Route 94 ramp where it merges with the ramp from Route 46 westbound.

The traffic shift and temporary stop sign are expected to remain in place for approximately one week. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays when driving through the work zone.

The work is part of the $14.5 million federally funded pavement preservation project that will reconstruct approximately one and a half miles of Route 46 between I-80 and Walnut Road in Knowlton Township. In addition, the project will upgrade drainage and guiderail throughout the project limits, as well as install Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) at the Route 46/Route 94 and I-80 interchanges.

The project is expected to be completed in fall 2025.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for real-time travel information.
