MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled for wooded areas in Madison and Morristown early Friday morning due to an increase in adult mosquito populations, according to the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control.
Weather permitting, crews will use all-terrain vehicles to treat the following locations between 4 and 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4:
- Madison: Station Road, near the Recycling Center
- Morristown: Blue Mill Road, near Bayne Park
Officials said crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains etofenprox.
Anvil 2+2 is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under EPA No. 1021-1687-8329, while Zenivex E4 is registered under EPA No. 2724-807.
