Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Sussex County crash

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Sparta Township on Saturday afternoon, according to Sparta Township Police Department Detective Lieutenant  Thomas Snyder.

The driver lost control of the bike at a very low speed on Sawmill Road near Cheyenne Trail, Snyder told RNJ.

He was conscious and alert at the scene but was flown to Morristown Medical Center as a precaution, Snyder said.

He suffered a broken clavicle and has since been released from the hospital, Snyder said.
