Motorcyclist ejected, injured in Sussex County crash

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A motorcyclist was injured Monday afternoon in a crash on Route 23 in Montague Township, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at about 4:10 p.m. on Route 23 north near milepost 48.6, State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.

A preliminary investigation found the driver of a Suzuki motorcycle lost control while navigating a left curve in the roadway. The motorcycle overturned, and the driver was ejected, authorities said.

The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.
