Motorcyclist injured after hitting tree in Sussex County

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A motorcyclist was injured after hitting a tree in Sussex County Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened at around 1:27 p.m. on County Road 650 eastbound at milepost 5 in Montague Township, state police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on County Route 650 when the driver lost directional control, running off the roadway and colliding with a tree, state police said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, state police said.
