Eight men steal merchandise during robbery at Morris County boutique, authorities say
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Eight men stole merchandise from a Morristown clothing boutique Sunday afternoon after pushing an employee before fleeing in a vehicle, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said the prosecutor’s office was notified at approximately 3:30 p.m. July 12 of a robbery at C’est La Bella, located at 6 Community Place.
According to investigators, two employees were inside the store when eight men entered. One employee was pushed as the group began grabbing merchandise before fleeing the store.
The suspects left the area in a black Toyota Corolla displaying New York license plates, authorities said.
No weapons were displayed, and no threats of harm were made during the incident, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene.
In a social media post Sunday, C’est La Bella confirmed the robbery and announced it would temporarily close while staff assessed the damage.
“As many of you already know we did get robbed today and as such we will have to cancel Tuesdays sale. We will be closed for a little bit as we recoup and discuss next steps. Please keep us in your prayers as we recover and move past this. And please anyone with information please contact the police.”
The investigation is being conducted by the Morristown Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities have not announced any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
