Motorcyclist injured in crash on I-80 East exit ramp in Morris County

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A motorcyclist was injured Thursday evening after crashing on the Exit 26 ramp of Interstate 80 East in Morris County, authorities said.

According to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, troopers responded to the scene at approximately 6:44 p.m. in Mount Olive Township.

A preliminary investigation found that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle lost directional control, veered off the roadway, and struck a guide rail. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
