Motorcyclist killed in crash on Route 46 in Warren County
KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 44-year-old motorcyclist from Warren County was fatally injured on Saturday after colliding with a guardrail in Knowlton Township, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.
The crash occurred around 5:21 p.m. on Route 46 eastbound at milepost 4.2, Marchan said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Michael Mack, 44, of Oxford Township, was operating an Indian motorcycle when it went off the road and struck the guardrail, Marchan said.
Mack was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Mack’s wife and three children.
According to the GoFundMe page, Mack, a former Chief of the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department, was remembered for his many years of dedicated service to the community. He served as Chief from 2017 to 2020 and had been an active member of the fire department for several years. Prior to his time at Oxford, Mack also served with the Randolph Fire Company #4, where he held the rank of Lieutenant.
“His contributions to the fire service will always be remembered, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” the GoFundMe page stated.
The GoFundMe has set a goal of $10,000 for the family. As of Monday morning, it has raised more than $9,000. If you would like to donate to help the family, click here.
