Motorcyclist killed in I-80 crash in Morris County identified as 20-year-old South Plainfield man

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — New Jersey State Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a fiery crash Tuesday on Interstate 80 westbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills as Karol Wojewodka, a 20-year-old man from South Plainfield.

The crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. near milepost 41.6, when a Yamaha motorcycle struck the rear of a Chevrolet Suburban that was being towed by a Dodge pickup truck, state police said.

The collision caused all three vehicles to catch fire, and the flames extended to a nearby wooded area. Wojewodka sustained fatal injuries, police said.

No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately released.
