UPDATE: Missing Autistic Newton man found safe

UPDATE: “We are thrilled to share that the missing individual from our recent alert has been located and is safe. This outcome is a source of great relief and happiness for everyone involved,” police said.

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – The Newton Police Department is searching for a missing Autistic male.

Shaquiel Hill, 30, walked away from a group home and was last seen on Linmor Avenue in Newton on Aug. 15 at around 1:30 a.m.

Hill is a black man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He left the home either on foot or a bicycle and was wearing a white tank top, blue sweatpants, and possibly boots.

If anyone spots Hill or has information on his whereabouts, do not approach and contact police or 911.
