NJ GOP Senate frontrunner calls for Congressional investigation of Biden Administrations $6B “shady deal” with Iran

Serrano Glassner: "Joe Biden’s recent $6 billion payoff to Iran encouraged their funding of this unprecedented assault on the Israeli people.”

NEW JERSEY – Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner, the frontrunner for the GOP nomination to challenge Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), issued the following statement Monday calling on Congress to launch a formal investigation of the Biden administration’s decision to unfreeze $6 billion of Iranian assets, in light of the deadly terrorist attacks launched against Israel by Iranian proxy groups Hamas and Hezbollah.

“It’s clear that the weakness of the Biden administration played a deciding factor in the terrorist attack by Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel. Furthermore, Joe Biden’s recent $6 billion payoff to Iran encouraged their funding of this unprecedented assault on the Israeli people. That’s why, as soon as the U.S. House of Representatives selects its new Speaker, Congress should launch a robust investigation of the Biden administration’s shady deal with Iran, complete with subpoenas and compelled testimony under oath from senior administration officials. The bloodshed and kidnappings against Israelis — and some American citizens— at the hands of terrorists is an outrage that demands answers. The direct and indirect ties the Biden administration has to sponsors of terrorism must be explored, exposed, and expelled from our government and policies.”
