No injuries after tractor-trailer fire on I-78 in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A tractor-trailer caught fire Tuesday night on Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

Troopers responded to the fire on at 7:40 p.m. on Interstate 78 eastbound at milepost 16.8 in Clinton Township, Lebron said.

Upon the trooper’s arrival, a tractor-trailer was fully engulfed, Lebron said.

There were no injuries reported, Lebron said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
