No injuries reported after fire at Somerset County restaurant

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ (Somerset County) — No injuries were reported following a fire at a restaurant in Bernardsville early Tuesday morning.

On Sept. 24, at 2:10 a.m., Bernardsville Fire Co. No. 1 and the First Aid Squad were dispatched to The Station Restaurant and Bar, located at 45 Mine Brook Road, following reports of an activated fire alarm and smoke in the building from nearby residents.

Upon arrival, the Bernardsville Police Department confirmed an active fire within the establishment, prompting an upgrade the situation to a first alarm structure fire and call for mutual aid from surrounding towns.

Fire crews arrived on the scene within eight minutes of the initial dispatch and quickly engaged the fire, successfully bringing it under control within one hour. Fire units operated on-site for approximately two hours.

There were no reported injuries, and residents were later allowed to reoccupy their homes.

“We are temporarily closed for repairs. We will let you know when The Station is open again,” a post on The Station’s Facebook page stated.
